Why I am in two MLM companies
I have never found a one-stop-shop that has everything I buy online. There are always things that I don’t like or things I do need that are not catered for. I buy online for two reasons: I can’t find it in a retail store or it’s cheaper (including postage) when I purchase in bulk. I like bargains but I won’t substitute quality in order to get something cheaper. Onegroup and Young Living are the two MLMs (multi level marketing) I am a part of. And I love them both. I love the quality and their transparency.
I started off with ONEgroup when I went on a search for healthier alternatives. They specialised in Certified Organic personal care products under the Miessence label, homecare products under the MiEnviron label and Superfoods under the MiVitality label. They are no know exclusively under the Miessence logo now. At the time, they were the only company that was not only transparent in their product but they were certified organic as well. They set the standard in the organic personal care industry. I have been a member or representative for 10 years. I have seen product come and go. I have seen packaging change, and ingredients improve. I have never come across another company that has the same level of natural ingredients in their products. I also love that it is fully Australian, and the founder, Narelle Chenery, was a mum who wanted better for her kids. I have never expanded the business because I have been busy with my own kids. I loved that I could pay an annual membership and purchase as I needed with a 10% discount or purchase every month and get extra benefits without having to on-sell to keep my membership. Which is why I signed up in the first place. This is a link to my personal ONEgroup website. Anything ordered from this link I get a kickback. (I’m not fussed if you do or don’t) Go have a look at the products and their ingredients. Don’t just take my word for it.
Just recently I became a rep for Young Living. I love their oils*. I like that they own their own farms and control the process of their product. They have been around for 20 years so have really been able to perfect their oils from the seed all the way up to the bottling and sealing. I love the educational material that is provided as well. Not just from YL but the uplines are a wealth of knowledge. The oils themselves are so beneficial. I was able to sign up the same way I did with ONEgroup. No need to commit every month. And the starter kit is made so that you can really get a feel for how oils can be incorporated into your life. It’s been one month and I’m needing refills. So it made sense to sign up for a monthly autoship and reap some rewards. If you’d like to check out what YL have to offer this is a link to the au website.
This is where I’m at. My upline loves YL because it’s a one-stop-shop. I on the other had find some of their manufacturered products not as superior and clean as the Miessence equivalent. This is just from a quick ingredient comparison. I’m about quality. I don’t care if I have to purchase things from multiple different sites. Usually if you buy in bulk enough you can get discounted shipping at least. And products like vanilla beans are cheaper if you buy from a place that specialises in them. (But that’s for a different post entirely.) So, in a nutshell, I am still with ONEgroup because their personal care products are far cleaner and natural than YL. If you are happy with YL then that is great. They are far cleaner than the supermarket brands. I’m with YL for the oils. I don’t think I’ll ever find another company that does as many and to the same quality as Young Living.
My aim, with upcoming posts, is to compare apples with apples and see the differences. I know a lot of you follow because you want a more natural alternative to the products you are currently using. There is always room for clean-up in our lives and I’m here to make it a bit more simpler for you. So I’ll be comparing the YL products alongside the Miessence counterparts, not only in ingredients but also the usage and the price. (I may even grab a convention brand to throw in the mix) Like apples there is variety (organic, conventional and GMO) not only in texture and taste but price as well. Just because I like organic Pink Lady’s doesn’t make your choice of conventional Fuji’s wrong. It’s just different.
My first product I’ll be comparing is the foaming hand soap and then the body lotion. So watch this space.

*Miessence used to do a some oils a few years back but decided to just focus on personal care products.
